Who Are We at PICK CANARIA?

Paolo

My name is Paolo and I was born in Trento, in northern Italy.

At the age of 23, I opened my first business in my hometown, a project that I continue to run with great enthusiasm. Thanks to this experience, I have had the opportunity to travel all over Europe in search of quality craft beers to propose to our customers, continuously enriching the offer of our establishment.

With Irene, we were then fortunate enough to expand our experiences in the industry, also running a restaurant and a cocktail bar.

Each new venture has allowed us to further explore the world of catering and grow both professionally and personally.

I have always been attracted to the ocean and the idea of discovering new cultures through food and people.

Living for an extended period of time on the island of Gran Canaria, I learned to love the local language, the spontaneity of the people, the breathtaking scenery, and the feeling of freedom that the ocean imparts.

A trip to Gran Canaria changed everything for me. That trip turned the tables, leading me and Irene to make a radical decision:

To sell our businesses in Italy, except for the pub we have been running with passion for 13 years, and to change our lives, moving to the island for good.

Our goal?

To make other people discover Gran Canaria when they visit it for the first time.

From this life choice, the Pick Canaria project was born, an initiative to which we dedicate ourselves with passion and joy every day.

Through Pick Canaria, we want to share with visitors the love we feel for this island, offering them an authentic and unforgettable experience, just as it was for us.

Irene

My name is Irene and I was born in Trento, a city located in northern Italy.

From a young age, I have nurtured a deep passion for travel and good food, thanks to the experiences I had traveling around in an RV with my parents.

These trips allowed me to explore new cultures and cultivate a love of discovery, which has always been a part of my life.

The desire to work closely with people led me to enter the world of catering, where I found a perfect synthesis between my passions: interaction with the public and continuous discovery.

Working together with Paul, we have always sought new challenges, creating several restaurant businesses in our city. One of our most successful projects has been a pub specializing in craft beer, which we have been running with passion for over thirteen years in Trent.

This experience has allowed us to grow professionally and deepen our knowledge of the industry.

A trip to Gran Canaria marked a turning point in my life. I immediately fell in love with the landscapes and culture of the island, feeling a strong desire to share this discovery with others.

Always being attentive to people’s needs, I found in Gran Canaria a place where I could combine my skills and passion.

Hence the Pick Canaria project was born, to which I dedicate myself with the same passion and care that have always distinguished me.

My goal is to make people discover this beautiful island with the same enthusiasm and love that I felt from the very first moment.
