Land & Table – From sea to summit: history, flavors, and silent landscapes
Who says you have to choose between the sea, culture, or mountain views to experience Gran Canaria? This tour brings it all to the table—literally—at the right pace: relaxed and full of curiosity.
The day starts with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel or Airbnb. After a short drive along the eastern coast, our first stop is one of the island’s most remote and wild bays—an authentic corner where the sea meets stone and nature reveals itself unfiltered. We then head inland toward a beautifully preserved historic village, Agüimes. Strolling through its cobbled streets feels like stepping into a different era—Gran Canaria as it once was, far from the rush of the beaches.
The journey continues with a stop at an archaeological site, La Fortaleza, home to cave dwellings and a small museum that tells the story of the island’s earliest inhabitants. The surrounding landscape feels ancient and powerful. Next, we reach a quiet oasis surrounded by palm trees and soft hills, Santa Lucìa de Tirajana where we stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant with a panoramic terrace. Local dishes are served in peace and with a view.
In the afternoon, the scenery changes once again: we reach the island’s most iconic peak, the Roque Nublo, and then up to its highest point, Pico de las Nieves. On clear days, you can even glimpse Tenerife on the horizon. After a quick stop at the volcanic viewpoint of Caldera de los Marteles, where forests and craters meet, we begin the return along a scenic mountain road. There’s one last stop at a little-known viewpoint—an ideal place to end the day looking out over the horizon.
The tour finishes around 7:00 PM, with return to your accommodation. An intense but unhurried day—rich with discoveries, landscapes, and stories you’ll want to keep.
