Some people settle for a photo by the sea—others want to feel the island under their feet. This Land & Table tour is for the second group: for those who love to explore with curiosity, embrace the silence of the mountains, wander through stone villages, and end the day with a good meal or a glass of wine. 

The day begins with pick-up directly from your hotel or Airbnb. We head gently inland, with a first stop at a scenic astronomical viewpoint offering a sweeping overview of the landscape—deep valleys and wide, memorable horizons. We then descend into one of the island’s most picturesque villages, Fataga,where white houses cling to the sides of a lush green canyon. It’s a version of Gran Canaria untouched by time, where life still moves at a slower pace. The ascent continues to a sacred volcanic rock formation once revered by the island’s aboriginal inhabitants, the Roque Bentayga. The view from here is unforgettable. Not far ahead, we reach a beautiful mountain village surrounded by almond trees and native pines, Tejeda. Homes seem to hang on the crater walls, and every corner offers a postcard-perfect view. 

We continue climbing until we reach the highest village in Gran Canaria, where we stop for lunch in a panoramic restaurant carved into the rock—simple, honest Canarian food served with a view. In the afternoon, the road turns greener. We cross pine forests and stop at a little-known lookout with an incredible view over the island’s northern slope, Mirador de los Pinos de Gáldar. The day ends with an experience that truly leaves a mark: a visit to a local winery nestled among vineyards and coffee plantations, in the heart of a fertile valley. 

We’ll discover the production process, walk among fruit trees, and of course, enjoy a wine tasting with local products—everything included in the tour, no extras. Just the pleasure of being fully present. We return to your accommodation around 7:00 PM, after a day rich in contrasts, ancient stories, changing landscapes, and flavors you’ll carry with you—in your mouth and in your memory.
